Fried rice


All beginners, and dare I say even non beginners, should have this in their repertoire. It's quick, tasty, and perfect for the day after if you have rice or other leftovers


  • minced garlic
  • rice (leftover rice works perfectly)
  • eggs (optional)
  • soy sauce
  • oyster sauce (optional)
  1. Add some olive oil to a pan and toast the minced garlic till it's light brown
  2. add the rice and mix it into the mixed garlic
  3. add the eggs (optional) and mix it in
  4. add leftover meats, vegetables, sausages... anything in your fridge!
  5. add a little soy sauce and oyster sauce (optional)
  6. i personally like parts of my fried rice crispy so I let it sit in the pan for another minute till the bottom of the fried rice gets crispy

this recipe is incredibly forgiving so don't worry too much about the portions of each ingredient
