Just had lunch at this cafe - and kicking myself that I have never found it before. I bike past here every day on the way to/from work. Fantastic food, great flavours, quiet and relaxing for its location. Very good menu, with lots of variety.
Will definitely be going back to this one - given other reviews I have now found on the web may even become my local.
Dhokaima Cafe offers light snacks at very reasonable prices. The restaurant has a nice garden and a bar – Manny’s Rukhmuni Lounge- under a large walnut tree. Mojito and ‘Liquid Viagra’ are the specialty of the bar. Location: Patan Dhoka, Patan Phone: 5522113

yea.. it's really nice place to hang out.. our own Yala maya kendra is also at the backyard.. and pastries there is really nice.. coffee was great and,,, mo:mo was really tasty :)

I LOVE Cafe Dhokaima, particularly when it's nice enough to sit outside.
If you like Mojitos and you're in the Kathmandu Valley, you HAVE to try one! They grow their own mint (which is often picked after you order the drink).
Great desserts, good spinach pasta. I really like the momos, the spring rolls, and the tandoori chicken salad sandwich.
