Address: Charburja Marg, Kathmandu, Nepal

Right ally after KrishnaPauroti

Speciality: We have a pizzeria and we deliver in central Kathmandu. We also have a large garden with a 100 meter skating and rollerblading track.

Why not come and enjoy the space and greenery in the best-kept secret in the heart of the city – AKA Café!

Have a coffee and read the paper under the trees or eat lunch in our new bamboo gazebo. Bring the family and let the kids spend the day roller-skating on our 100m track that winds round a leafy garden, then order a pizza from our wood-fired oven. A safe place for children to play, you can drop them off with someone to look after them and pick them up later. Ideal for winter vacation fun and exercise! You can hire our skates and rollerblades or bring your own.

A peaceful haven in the midst of Hattisar.

Sad that I never knew that this place existed only 1 min walk from my office. All those lunches surrounded by the crowds, heat and traffic.

This place is soooo quiet - even during the busy lunch period. Even quieter than Garden of Dreams. Beautiful country style (as opposed to manicured) garden, great pizzas and drinks. Bring your own mat if you want to lie around and meditate under the fruit trees.

Have skateboard and roller skates for hire - and a great track through the gardens. Great for kids.

Will certainly be back there for a lunch time break. At night they close about 8pm unless you tell them in advance. Know where we'll all end up if everyone has to work late next.

They also do take away and delivery.

Went over to check A.K.A. out and really loved the place. It's a skating rink that rents out skates. It feels more like a childrens playground a little rundown but it adds to the charm. And it's pretty funky - there are cows on the premises and rabbits! Didn't eat anything there but I hear the pizza is quite good. Best of all the place is quiet and peaceful and a nice respite from the noise of Kathmandu. Highly recommended - would def go back.

Had a nice long chat with the owner, Uday, who came back to Nepal after spending time in the US and UK. He also sells hemp, nettle, linen etc. to retailers in the west.
